Nervous nellies and getting intouch with nature.

Friday was my first "official" monthly shoot with Rolling Acres farm and it was a success. We started out a little nervous, since for both Nancy and I it was new territory. Needless to say Duel was as cool as a cucumber soaking up the attention and seriously loving every minute of it.
A little back story about Duel; Duel raced in several Derbies and even won a race. He eventually started falling back in the races and Nancy pretty much swept in and saved the him. He's a smart horse and knew that race life just wasn't for him. ;) He's also wonderful at tricks, as you will see, and very in tune with Nancy. I hope to get like that with "my" horse Garrett. So here's a little peak at what went on that day..

Side note: The 2nd picture is of Nancy and her childhood horse Kid. Kid really does live up to his name as he seems to be quite an escape artist and unfortunately injuring his bag leg so badly during one incident that he can't be ridden as much. After ignoring advice to put him down, Nancy decided firmly against it (YAY!!!) and he's now enjoying his 17 year old self there at Rolling Acres farm.
