SUPER MOON! WHAT WHAT?!
Did you guys capture the super moon the other night? If not then boo on you guys and don't hate on my nerdy wannabe astronaut side. lol My dad and I are HUGE astro nerds so we packed the family up and took a ride up to Bald Rock SC with the family that evening. We had a blast! It truly was huge... guess who got stuck with the pictures from the trip tho?? Not this gal! Thanks dad for taking your SD card back out even though I said I would return it... eventually. HAHA! That's OK though bc thanks to technology I was able to put my phone up tot the telescope and snap a pic of the moon. Surprisingly it came out well. Here ya go!
Marlow Family
Any friends of mine that know me well enough know that I grew up in the Berea area in SC. It's a very populated Hispanic community that still has some growing to do, but will always have a special place in my heart as it being home and where I had the best moments of my childhood. That being said, we didn't have a lot of money to just get out of town or go "shopping" because we're bored or things of that nature. So what did we do? We went to Furman University and fed the ducks. HAHAHA! Now a days you can't feed them, according to the signs posted, but it's still a beautiful place where my parents and I shared a lot of picnics, first bike rides, first roller blade experience and first of MANY, MANY talks with the God. I went there to pray and to cry and I grew a lot in those times alone.
Fast forward to my life now, I enjoy taking my girls there as often as I can in hopes that they love that area as much as I do. I have done 2 sessions here and another 1 with my girls. I know alll the best photo op places and the times of when it's the busiest and what time the sun will shine just right lightening the clock tower beautifully so I'm truly at my element here.
I got the wonderful opportunity to capture the Marlow family again and they had a new little one that they showed off. We had a wonderful time, as we always do, and I can't wait to see them again in the future to capture more precious moments.

Welcome to your world Brier!!

I had a wonderful time yesterday as Tabitha has FINALLY given birth to this beautiful baby boy. And what a gorgeous little man he is. So attentive and well aware of his surroundings. A wonderful baby that just wants to sleep, sleep, sleep and be cuddled on. Weighing in at 8lbs 13 oz he truly was a big boy.. for me tho after picking up an almost 3 year old and holding my 5 year all the time, he was as light as a feather. Don't tell momma that tho bc I bet she begs to differ. HAHA! It was great being at the hospital for the first time since I had my youngest, and it brought back a lot of memories. I was able to tame my baby fever for the time being, but I know that it will just be a temporary feeling until my other friend has her baby. Is it just me or does it seem like everyone is drinking that baby water? LOL Either way, it's a wonderful blessing seeing all my expecting friends grow their little families and I'm proud to be a part of them in any way I can.
The best kind of love...

I was so fortunate to be able to have my first maternity session with Tabitha. An old friend of mine and a gorgeous one at that, she was so patient and let me do whatever I wanted. The session took place at her home in her son's room. It was personal, full of love and made me want another baby. LOL Baby boy is obviously going to be spoiled rotten by his sisters and so many others. I know I won't be able to get enough of him and he hasn't even gotten here yet! Much love to my Tabs and I can't wait to meet Mr.B!
Nervous nellies and getting intouch with nature.
Friday was my first "official" monthly shoot with Rolling Acres farm and it was a success. We started out a little nervous, since for both Nancy and I it was new territory. Needless to say Duel was as cool as a cucumber soaking up the attention and seriously loving every minute of it.
A little back story about Duel; Duel raced in several Derbies and even won a race. He eventually started falling back in the races and Nancy pretty much swept in and saved the him. He's a smart horse and knew that race life just wasn't for him. ;) He's also wonderful at tricks, as you will see, and very in tune with Nancy. I hope to get like that with "my" horse Garrett. So here's a little peak at what went on that day..
Side note: The 2nd picture is of Nancy and her childhood horse Kid. Kid really does live up to his name as he seems to be quite an escape artist and unfortunately injuring his bag leg so badly during one incident that he can't be ridden as much. After ignoring advice to put him down, Nancy decided firmly against it (YAY!!!) and he's now enjoying his 17 year old self there at Rolling Acres farm.

Another wonderful day at Rolling Acres. :)

I had a wonderful ride yesterday morning at Rolling Acres Farm. Got to ride Garrett and I just had such a wonderful time. Tomorrow I'm going to have my first official shoot of some riders and hopefully I'll sneak some in of Nancy, the amazing owner of this wonderful place. Here are some shots from yesterday.
A gentle horse is a lovely experience.
I've been so lucky to have the opportunity to spend some time at the Rolling Acres farm here in SC. My newest love are these beautiful creatures that are just so gentle and with hearts as big as they are. A lot more picture taking and riding for this gal in the following weeks! :) Hopefgully no falling on my part and if I do fall I hope that no harm is done on my arms or hand.. need those to take pictures. HAHAHA! Happy picture taking!
